Thank You Skeff

THANK YOU
With a mixture of sadness, gratitude and a hell of a lot of pride we announce that our Club Captain James Skeffington has called time on what can only be described as a most illustrious playing career.
Having played over 300 games and 100 goals over 17 years few players have had a greater impact on our club than Skeff and he will go down as one of the greatest players to wear the black n white in our nearly 120 year history.
There isnt much Skeffy hasn't done in the game including Championships, Player of the Year medals and Club Champion awards and it was most fitting that he came back to the club to lead us to our State League Premiership in 2021.
We have all been amazed at the feats on the park over 17 years but a lot of what Skeffy does for our club off the park probably doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
He is a fantastic role model for our younger Pirates and the work he has put in to create a more positive and professional culture around the club has ensured he deserves the title of Club Legend.
Skeff will be sadly missed by all and we will be sure to give him a proper send off but please join us in thanking James for everything he has done for us and wishing him and his beautiful family all the best for the next chapter in his life.
