JUNIORS ROUND 15 REVIEWS

With half of the Juniors having finished their respective seasons and the U14s having a bye, all the focus was on our U12s and our U15 Girls, the latter proving to have a very memorable conclusion to their debut season. Click here to read all about it!

MINIROOS ROUND 14 REVIEWS

The final round of a magnificent season for our MiniRoos teams. There were many highlights including double duty for U8 White, a 7-star performance for U7 White, a 6-star performance by U9 White, an incredible come from behind win by U8 Black and a heart-warming first win for U6 Black. Click here to read all about it!

SUNDAY CANTEEN

We did it! A very special thank you to every single person who has volunteered their personal time to help our club continue to provide our tremendous canteen and bar service on Sunday matchdays. Sunday’s are notoriously difficult logistically, with availability of volunteers very much dependant on whether their child is playing at Taperoo that week.

While we of course appreciate everybody’s efforts, it would remiss of us not to give an extra special thank you to Carolyn Brinkworth (Kitchen), Georgia Kaluza (Barista) and Fran Hughes (Volunteers Coordinator) who made things run as smoothly as possible each and every week. Thank you!

SENIORS UPDATE

Last Saturday saw the Seniors play the second of 3 consecutive games at Taperoo Reserve and they bounced back from their Cobras defeat in the best way possible with a comfortable 4-1 win over Salisbury United. 300 game man James Coley bagged himself a brace, while captain James Skeffington and defender Daniel Pierce were also on the scoresheet. The Reserves continued their fantastic recent form with a 5-2 win, this result was enough to see them move into the top 6. The U18s registered their first draw of the campaign in an entertaining 3-3 stalemate.

In the Collegiate league, it has been a very busy week for the team. Saturday saw the boys defeat Immanuel by 2 goals to 1 to finish the season in 4th place, just one point behind 2nd placed North City and equal on points with 3rd placed St Pauls. This saw the team qualify for the top 4 finals series and the Semi Final against 1st placed Adelaide Thunder took place at Valo Football Centre on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, it was not to be with an impressive Thunder team running out 5-0 winners. Nevertheless, congratulations to the boys on a fantastic year.

Looking ahead in State League 2, Pirates host the always tricky Cove FC at Taperoo Reserve this Saturday, 3rd October in our 2nd last home game of the season. Keep the momentum going fellas!

You can find further information on all the upcoming fixtures, results and league tables on our website.

UPCOMING JUNIOR GAMES – SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER

This Sunday sees just one game at Taperoo Reserve, however it is a biggie as our U14s conclude their Championship winning campaign against Northern Demons. Get on down to Taperoo and see a Championship team in action! Kick-off is 11 am.

Kind Regards,
