Special mention to our U16s who during the week secured a 2nd placed finished in U16 JPL C. A huge congratulations to first year head coach Chad and his team!

MINIROOS ROUND 12 REVIEWS

A very busy day last Sunday saw all 13 MiniRoos teams in action. It was U8 Gold’s turn to pull double duty this week with a Thursday night fixture at West Adelaide. Click here to read all about it!

RESPECTING OUR VENUE

It has been brought to our attention that a significant amount of rubbish was left on the Taperoo main pitch at the end of last Friday evening’s training session. We ask that all of our members respect the space that we share by cleaning up after themselves and using the rubbish bins provided. Please also refrain from taking any consumables onto the main pitch. Thank you.

SUNDAY CANTEEN

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered in the canteen on Sunday, 13th September.

The teams rostered on for Sunday, 20th September are U14s (8-10:15am), U15 Girls (10:15am-12pm) and U12s (12pm to close). The last game will finish at approximately 1:15pm.

Looking ahead to the final week, there are only four U6/U7 games at Taperoo that day, so it should be a very quiet morning. Thank you to those of you have volunteered.

SENIORS UPDATE

Our first team produced a stunning performance to down the previously undefeated Eastern United by 3 goals to 1 at Athelstone Reserve. This boilover has allowed Modbury Vista to jump into 1st place on the ladder with Pirates still nicely poised in 3rd place, ready to pounce on any more slip ups by the top two. The next game sees Pirates take on the 3rd top four team in as many weeks as Adelaide Cobras visit Taperoo on Saturday, 18th September, kick-off is 7pm.

Our Reserves also enjoyed a stunning 3-1 success over Eastern to keep their good run of form going, while our U18s put in a gallant display, losing 1-0.

Our Collegiate team made it three wins on the spin with a 2-1 victory over North City at Taperoo. Next up is another home game against Norwood.

You can find further information on all the upcoming fixtures, results and league tables on our website.

UPCOMING GAMES – SUNDAY 20th SEPTEMBER

Here is the full list of the upcoming games. The action actually started last night as U8 Gold defeated West Adelaide Blue 1-0. The U7 derby between Gold and White is your Friday night fixture. The U14s will be looking to secure the U14 JPL C championship with a win against Adelaide Uni on Sunday, if you are at Taperoo, make sure you stick around to support them after your game.

Best of luck to all of our teams this weekend and as always, please double check the kick-off time on the Football SA website or via the Game Day app.
