Goodbye Taperoo Reserve, hello Ngarrpadla!

On Monday, 15th February 2021, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council officially renamed Taperoo Reserve to Ngarrpadla ('Nar-pud-lah') Aunty Josie Agius Reserve, in honour of Aboriginal elder and Taperoo resident who passed in 2015.
Spending her life in the area, Aunty Josie was a proud and active member of the local community. In 2014 she was awarded the Premier’s NAIDOC Award in response to her tireless advocacy for reconciliation. This reserve is a monument to her love, goodwill, and service, which has made our community richer and stronger.
